Centennial Rememberence

As our church building’s centennial year is coming to a close, let us look back and reflect on the many blessings of our parish over the past 100 years!  We had many events throughout the past year to help us celebrate our centennial.  Thank you to those who helped plan these events, and to those who attended to help us celebrate!

(Bulletin article from October 2, 2022)

Hello Everyone,
It was great to see everyone last weekend at the various events as we celebrated 100 years of our church building. It was a worthy and wonderful celebration of our church and of all of you and our parish community. Thank you to all those who helped us celebrate. I want to thank formally once again Jamie and Liz Lind and Jake and Lois Carlson, the co-chairs of this year’s event. As I know you’ll all agree, they did an amazing job and it was a fitting celebration of our church. I know they put in countless hours and made many sacrifices to help us to have a great two-day special event. Thank you again.

Thanks once again to our centennial committee too, who have been helping us celebrate all year with any number of events and activities. They have done a great job at helping us to celebrate our church throughout the year and had great creative ideas and initiatives to keep that year-long celebration. Specifically I want to thank Paul and Chris Steinhoff and Theresa Gergen, the co-chairs, along with Debbie Biegler, Karla McBrady, Peggy Marquette, Tom and Judy Neumann, Marilyn Wurm, Angie Pribyl,
Suzie Paumen, and Lori Meyer.

Thanks to all of our volunteers, the parish staff, especially Rita and Karrie for all of the additional behind the scenes work this year, and everyone who helped make this event and this whole year a success.

Thank you again too to the choir for the amazing music last weekend and their great music throughout the year. We are blessed at Saint Timothy’s. Thank you too to Shannon Paumen for all of her work and sacrifices to make sure we had a beautiful Mass and everything organized behind the scenes as a sacristan, along with Sheri Nichols. I’ve heard from many of you how beautiful the Mass was.

I could write many more words of thanks but I wanted to reiterate my gratitude to them and to all of you once again for your wonderful example of faith that keeps this church alive, thriving, and that place of Christ’s presence in the world.
Thank you all once again. It was great to see so many of you attend the
events last weekend. God bless all of you and have a great weekend ahead.

Father Meyer
