Fr. Michael Izen
Pastor
Fr. Izen became Pastor of St. Timothy’s in June of 2007. He was born in Fairmont, MN and went to St. John’s University, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. He spent sixteen years in the Twin Cities—first at 3M, then at the St. Paul Seminary/University of St. Thomas. He was ordained a priest in 2005 and served as the Parochial Vicar for Divine Mercy in Faribault. Fr. Izen has has five brothers and sisters all who live in Minnesota. He enjoys playing basketball and football and likes to follow the Vikings, Twins and Timberwolves. His only non-sports hobby is watching funny movies.

Deacon Ron Freeman
Deacon Ron has been serving St. Timothy since 1990, having been ordained for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in 1988. He is a Master Electrician and was the co-owner of J. Becher and Associates, an electrical contractor. He also taught as an Electrical Instructor at the Dunwoody Industrial Institute. He currently does electrical inspecting part-time. In addition to his duties at St. Timothy, which include preaching, sacramental celebration, and coordinating the Rites of Christian Initiation for Adults, he also serves as a hospice chaplain for North Memorial Hospital. In his free time, he enjoys raising show flowers, hunting and fishing.


Deacon Mike Medley
Deacon Mike came to serve St. Timothy in April of 2003. His responsibilities include preaching, teaching, and sacramental preparation. Previously, he was owner of Medallion Media, Inc., a print and design business in Annandale. He was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in September of 2000. After his ordination he served the Church of St. Ignatius in Annandale. He currently works with Birthline in St.Cloud and serves on the Archdiocesan Rural Life committee. He also runs a small farm of mostly poultry, with a few large animals. He enjoys going on road trips with his wife Ann.

Tonya Kaley
Secretary
Tonya joined the staff of St. Timothy in 2004 as Parish Secretary, bringing with her 7 years of administrative assistant experience. She graduated from Normandale Community College with an A.A.S. degree in Dietetic Technology. In her free time, Tonya enjoys making photo albums, stamping, running, and spending time with her family water skiing and downhill skiing.

Debbie Biegler
Director of Religious Education
Debbie is a life long member of St. Timothy's Church. She is an alumni of our school and was the chairperson for our 50th all school reunion that was attended by over 900 people. She has been the RCIA Coordinator for the last 14 years, and has taught religious education for more than 12 years. She has been the head of the liturgy committee for over 14 years and also been a member of the Youth Board for over 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her husband and two grown children. She also likes to continue educating herself by attending the adult education programs offered at St. Tim's and surrounding parishes.

Mary Hagar
Director of Adult Education / Evangelization
Mary Hagar has served St. Timothy in a variety of roles since 1989 and is presently the Director of Adult Education / Evangelization. She also is the Co-director of Catholic Outreach Renewal and Evangelization Ministries and is a Field Representative for the Archdiocesan Task Force on Evangelization. She has a B.S. degree in Education and her M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology and is licensed in both Nebraska and Minnesota. She also received her Theology Certification from the University of St. Thomas and her Evangelization Certification from Catholic Renewal Ministries. She also has a wide range of teaching experience including 10 years at international schools and 15 years at Catholic schools. In her free time, Mary enjoys golfing, tennis and playing bridge.

Gretchen Sonnen
Youth Minister
Gretchen is thrilled to be the newest member of St. Timothy’s staff! She grew up in Mendota Heights, MN with her parents George and Gloria, her sister Gloria, and her brother George. Yes, she is the only Gretchen in the family! Following her sister’s lead, Gretchen began playing soccer and hockey at a very early age and still enjoys playing whenever the opportunity arises. After high school, she ventured to Steubenville, Ohio to study Catechetics and Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. She completed her studies in May of 2007, moved home, and worked at the Church of St. Raphael in Crystal as the Associate Youth Minister. She loves card games, good movies, playing guitar, and the MN Twins. Gretchen is excited to serve as Youth Minister at St. Timothy’s and looks forward to meeting you!

Bill Lovegren
Maintenance
Bill Lovegren joined the Staff at the Church of St. Timothy in May of 2009. His responsibilities include maintaining the church buildings and grounds and controlling the heating and cooling systems. Bill had worked for Qwest Communications for 34 years and his jobs included - Installation Repair Technician, PBX Engineer and Technical Support Engineer. Bill installed the phone system and wired the LAN network at St Timothy’s School with donated equipment. He volunteers for St Cloud Hospital – CentraCare as a LifeLine Installer. Bill has lived in Annandale, MN since 1994 and is married to his wife, Joanne, for 38 years. He enjoys working with computers, watching Sci-Fi movies, camping in his motorhome and spoiling his 8 grandchildren.
